NATIONALITY AND RECOVERY OF NATIONALITY
If you have been residing legally and continuously in Spain for more than 10 years for most foreigners and you want to obtain Spanish nationality, it is possible. For those citizens from Latin America, the Philippines, Portugal or Andorra you can apply for your nationality after 2 years of legal and continuous residence in Spain.
Once you have received the decision from the Ministry of Justice, you must take the oath of nationality. In this declaration of oath or promise of loyalty to the king and obedience to the constitution and the laws, before the civil registry of the locality where you reside.
This oath must be presented within 180 days of receipt of the decision.
