WHAT IS A NIE?

The NIE is an identification number for foreigners aimed to carry out different transactions in
Spain. If you will want to complete a sale, set up a company or pay taxes, the Spanish
authorities will ask for your NIE certificate. In the case of Nationals of the European Union, it is
a requirement to obtain it first in order to work in Spain.

WHERE CAN YOU ISSUE IT?

It can be issued at any national police station in the town where you reside in Spain or where
the transaction will take place. Due to the high number of applications, it is often difficult to
get appointments, in some provinces this could even take months. That is why we offer our

DOCUMENTATION TO BE SUBMITTED

We can present your NIE application by means of a power of attorney acting on your behalf as
your legal representative and a copy of your passport duly legalized.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

of your NIE, then you just have to go to a public notary in your area to sign a very simple power
of attorney and send us the documentation.
Once we have issued the certificate, we will send you a high resolution copy by email and later
we send the original to your home.
